Kitchen Display Screen usage

The Kitchen Display Screen or KDS for short, is an alternative to a kitchen printer. It allows a user to see a 6 up display of pending orders. Arrows appear on the right or left of the screen to allow visualization of additional orders.

Each order shows the additions and deletions from the standard item. It also shows the amount of time that has passed since the order was last placed and the identity of the user who created the order.

You can minimize an order nearing completion by tapping the - at the bottom of the box the order is in. This is helpful if everything is being cooked, but you would like to move onto the next orders.

Once you are ready for the order to be pulled back up to full size, merely tap it on the bottom of the screen to reveal it in its original order.
